Description

Mars collage. 2014 03 08 from 7:00 to 7:49 UTC. C11, f/25, Grasshopper 3, LRGB.

Lots of surface details here, with a little less prominent orogenic clouds, but still very noticeable, including the "poking the deck" feature, specially visible over Olympus Mons. I think some of the massif is visible too, besides the Fossae around it. Compare to the WinJupos simulated view at top right.

Nice details over NPC too, showing the numerous icy patches, that seem to detach from the main glaciers in the martian summer. The last image, shows the equatorial cloud belt very prominently, with a nitid blue tint. I think some changes in the image are actual changes in the structure of the clouds during the martian afternoon. Cool!

Bellow the LRGB components of the first image.
